LEGO Mindstorms NXT Zamor Cannon with RC-type Servos    Send article as PDF
I purchased one of Mindsensors' 8 Channel Servo Controller for NXT (NXTServo-v2). I found 6 x 9gram Micro Servos for around $20 on eBay. I am quite amazed with the amount of torque out of something half the size of a matchbox. The next thing was to come up with a method of interfacing the Servos to my Lego masterpieces.

After a think & some plumbers PVC Glue I was set to build something. That something turned out to be yet another Zamor Cannon but this time there's not a Lego Motor in sight. The Bot is programed with RobotC and is controlled with a modified Wii Nunchuck contoller. The Nuncheck controls the three Servo motor. Altitude, Left to Right, a Button to fire as well as the remaining button to shut the bot down. Visit the RobotC forum, for more information, including Servo Mods & Software.
