Ever wished/wanted to use a Raspberry Pi as part of a LEGO Robotics Experiment, or need an alternative method to attach you BrickPI to a Robot you are building? Well, thanks to HansH and with the use of a 3d Printing Service you can have such a LEGO Compatible Raspberry Pi Base.

The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard. It’s a capable little PC which can be used for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays high-definition 1920×1080 video. Kids and adults all over the world are learning how to program with the Raspberry Pi.

The LEGO Compatible Raspberry Pi Base walls are 1.4mm thick which makes it a lttle more expensive to produce, but is far more solid. It fits the Production Raspberry Pi perfectly. There still can small variations in the Base depending on the placement of the components. Minor adjustments can be done with an exacto knife if it doesn’t fit exactly.

To purchase the base, head to HansH‘s Shapeways Store and purchase one for just under US$12.00, plus P & P.
