OpenElectrons (Mindsensors) have released the NXShield which attaches directly to an Arduino. The NXShield allows you to connect NXT motors, NXT Sensors and RC Servo motors, along with I2C devices. Some NXShield versions have headers to connect other Arduino shields on top of the NXShield.

Fully Compatible with Official Camera Module.

In order to meet the increasing need of Raspberry Pi compatible camera modules. The ArduCAM Group have released a add-on camera module for Raspberry Pi which is fully compatible with official one. It attaches to Raspberry Pi by way of one of the two small sockets on the board upper surface. This interface uses the dedicated CSI interface, which was designed especially for interfacing to cameras. The CSI bus is capable of extremely high data rates, and it exclusively carries pixel data. The camera is supported in the latest version of Raspbian, Raspberry Pi’s preferred operating system.

I’m currently working on a Sorting Factory, complete with LEGO Mindstorms NXT Forklift Truck and Bin Emptying Robot. Part of a larger project I’m currently working on (partly visible in the upper-left corner of photographs). The Forklift is used to deliver full Bins of balls to be emptied by the Bin Emptying Machine, and then the empty bin is taken away, back to the processing facility.

In this Tutorial we will go through the steps required to have your LEGO Mindstorms NXT Data sent to Twitter using the NXT2WiFi Miniature Web Server Module. In this Tutorial, the code used to program the LEGO Mindstorms NXT is [nxc]. You will also need a Twitter Account, if you don’t already have one.

Connecting the NXT2WiFi Webserver to a WLAN

The simplest way to connect to the NXT2WiFi Mini-Webserver Module is via an Ad-hoc Network, also called WiFi Direct network where devices communicate only peer to peer (P2P). There is no base and no one gives permission to talk. But this method is limited to the fact you can only have access through a single browser enabled device to the NXT2WiFi at a time. To get around this limitation access to the [NXT2WiFi] via you Wireless Router/Modem is the answer.
